Who We Are

North Mississippi Storm Chasers and Spotters was the brain child of founder, Brett Wicker, back in 2003. He slowly started bringing in additional members as he found individuals who he felt shared his passion for weather and severe storms and were committed to documenting and reporting on those storms in a safe manner. From those humble beginnings, the team today has grown to over 30 members who live throughout the north Mississippi area. We are all volunteers with varied backgrounds, but we all share the common interest and love of severe weather that the team was first founded on 17 years ago, and have taken that love to build NMSCAS into the preeminent storm chasing team in Mississippi and arguably the Southeast United States with a following of almost 91,000 fans in Mississippi and the surrounding area as well as a few international fans.
